Having been active in the Photovoltaic Industry since 2008, Peter Scherer has held senior sales positions for leading companies in the field of BIPV and MW-sized planned assets as well as for a leading solar business internet platform. Until 2020 he has been acting as International Sales Manager for DEGER, technology leader for solar tracking systems, responsible for markets in Europe, Asia, Africa and the MENA region.
Furthermore, he is PV business consultant in the Executive Forum of Coleman Research Group, New York.
Before joining the PV community, he has been working in international IT business, being responsible as VP Sales and Marketing Europe of leading US-based companies for Wireless Connectivity and Enterprise Mobile Solutions. In addition, he was employed as Technical Director in UNIX environments.
He started his career as Electronics Engineer at the Tübingen University Institute for Nuclear Physics.
